Fall/Winter Lip Care

This may seem like a pretty mundane post and especially for a Monday morning, but trust me, when you go to put on your matte lipstick for fall/winter this year, you will be thanking me! I suffer from really dry lips which makes wearing matte lipstick a bit of a chore, not only in putting it on but also in maintenance.

As September crept around I've started to use three products that have really been saving the day when it comes to my matte, bold lip!

I start off the night before by exfoliating my lips using Lushes lip scrub in the flavour popcorn! I honestly can not rave about this product more! Not only does it smell and taste (yes I said taste) amazing but it does a great job of removing all the dry and dead skin on my lips. It also comes in two other flavours, bubblegum and mint julips.

I then follow up with the Blistex relief cream and I leave this on all night! It calms the lips after all that scrubbing, leaving them soft and moisturised in the morning.  Before I start my make up the next day I throw on a bit of the vaseline lip balm in coco butter! This also smells amazing and just touches up the moisture in your lips beforehand.  When your make up is complete feel free to lather on that beautiful matte lipstick!

Hope this was helpful! Xoxo

Make up haul and review. Nars and Charlotte Tilbury.

To start off my first blog post I thought it would be nice to do a make up haul and review for you guys out there.  I recently went to Dublin with my friend for a weekend break and I picked up a few new products to add to my ever growing collection of make up.

I was dying to try out some of Nars' products so that was my first port of call! I ended up making two purchases at the counter, Nars blush in the colour 'orgasm' and their famous radiant creamy concealer! I immediately fell in love with both of these products! The concealer is perfect for hiding those dark under eye circles and helping to brighten the under eye area too, without creasing throughout day and night! The blush was just the right shade to perk up my face but also the gold shimmer throughout acts as an amazing highlighter! Just what the doctor ordered after those long college nights out, to give your face a fresher look! I must say these two items have been added to my holy grail.

Now when it comes to Charlotte Tilbury, for me the woman = God! She is one of my favourite make up artists and in my eyes could do no wrong, so when I heard that she was bringing out her very own make up line a happy dance was definitely done! I was looking for a new eyebrow pencil so I picked one up in the colour 'Cara D' which is named in honour of the fabulous Cara Delevingne and her even more fabulous eyebrows! It is a beautiful product and the perfect colour for my eyebrows with a spooly at the other side to comb through the eyebrows but the one disappointing thing I have noticed in recent weeks is that all the designs on the packaging have worn away. After paying quite a lot of money for this product I expected the design to hang around a little bit longer than three weeks!

The next two items I purchased were 'The Feline Flick' liquid eyeliner which is flawless and 'The Golden Godess' eyeshadow palette. The palette includes four colours, all bronze and golds which are perfect for blue and green eyes! It is ideal for both day and night use, the colours are super pigmented, creamy and blend to perfection!
